Eric Kwapich

This Eagle Scout  from Troop 132 was inducted into the Order in 2011 and sealed his membership in 2012. His service record to his home unit is stellar including serving as Patrol Leader, Den Chief, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. As an OA member he served as a Lodge Vice Chief of Aquehongian Lodge in 2012-2013. He continues to serve his chapter as part of its leadership team. His nomination stated the following about his leadership style: " he is always willing to lead any project that comes along. He makes a concerted effort to understand what is needed and what the goals are. He is a hard worker who regularly shares his knowledge, particularly with younger scouts, while showing a great deal of patience so that others may join him along the trail." For his service to his chapter and the order of the arrow, and for demonstrating in his everyday life the spirit of achievement as described by our Founders, the Founder's Award is presented to Eric Kwapich.

 Joseph Giattino

This brother from Troop 333 was inducted into the Order in 2008 and sealed his membership in the Brotherhood in 2010. His service to scouting and the Order of the Arrow reaches many levels. As a Scoutmaster, Campmaster, Shooting Sports Instructor, or District Membership Chairman he works tirelessly to ensure that more scouts have the opportunity to experience a quality scouting program. As a member of the Order of the Arrow he has served as an Ordeal Committee Member, the Ranachqua Lodge Contingent Adviser to the 2009 NOAC and currently serves the Uteney Gohkos Chapter as an Associate Chapter Adviser. For his service to scouting he has been awarded the Unit Leader Award of Merit, the District Award of Merit and The Vigil Honor.  His nomination said" it is his character which sets him apart from others. His willingness to pitch in for any task, his cheerful attitude, and his can do attitude is an example of the spirit that The Founder's Award was created to recognize. He never waits to be asked, he simply does because it means better scouting for the youth members that he serves." For his service to his chapter and the Order of the Arrow, and for demonstrating in his everyday life the spirit of achievement as described by our Founders, the Founder's Award is presented to Joseph Giattino.
